On-Site Physical, Occupational & Speech-Language Therapies
The tendency is to think that when an older person suffers a setback, those limitations now become the new ceiling. Nothing could be further from the truth! Most seniors who suffer from common injuries and ailments see a vast improvement in their daily lives after engaging in focused therapies to treat specific problems.
Springbrooke partners with EmpowerMe Wellness to provide on-site physical, occupational and speech-language pathology therapies. Residents and their therapy assistants set goals together, then take small steps toward meeting them over time. They administer therapy in whatever setting is the most appropriate – residents’ private apartments or Springbrooke’s two fitness centers. The result is healthier, more independent people. Our individualized treatment plans help residents return to an optimum level of functioning and a higher quality of life.
Focused Therapies Can Mitigate and Even Restore Functionality Resulting From:
Falls and Fractures
Strokes
Joint Replacements
Amputations
Post-surgical Conditions
Wound Care
Arthritis
Chronic Pain
Multiple Sclerosis
Vertigo and Neurological Disorders
Cardiopulmonary Dysfunction
Incontinence
Eyes-On Care
Our on-site therapy assistants can monitor residents while going about daily routines, which makes it easy to tailor treatments and to prevent possible issues. They work closely with the Springbrooke nursing staff to gauge treatment effectiveness. Our therapy assistants also get to know residents and their families, so they can keep families in the loop about their loved ones’ progress.
